Who is Cove Insurance?
Cove insurance was founded in 2017 by a group of New Zealand based insurance veterans eager to develop a simplified online process for quoting, buying, and managing your insurance online.
They are the first “digital insurance brand” to launch in New Zealand. What does this mean, you might be asking? It means instead of putting 200 people in a call centre to help with customer support, they hire more programmers to build a better self-service product. This means their overheads are lower, and they can pass on the savings to Kiwis.
At the moment they just offer car insurance and pet insurance, but we have heard they’ll have home & contents available soon.
